NETCONX SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP

On the NetConX Download page (http://www.netconx.net/download), click on NetConX 
Setup Program.

It will ask you if you want to Save or Run (might say Open) the program. Choose 
Save. It will ask you where to save the file. Where it says Save In, choose Desktop.  

Once it is done downloading, it will put an icon on your Desktop called setup.exe 
that will look like 2 computer screens and a telephone. Double-click that icon. 

This will bring up the NetConX Terms and Conditions.

Read through the Terms, and then click Accept.

Type your Full Name in the box. When you send an e-mail, people see this name and 
your e-mail address.  

Examples:	The Smiths
		John Smith
		John and Jane Smith

Type your username and password in their boxes. Make sure that they are all 
lowercase letters and no spaces.

Click the Select button to choose the Dial-up Number. This brings up a list of the 
access numbers for the area code set on your computer. If you see your city on the 
list, click it to highlight it, then click OK. 

If your city is not on the list, click on where it says Please Select under State to 
choose your State. Then do the same for the City. Then click OK.

If this computer is brand new, or hasn't been set up for dial up internet access, it 
might bring up a screen asking for your area code and other phone information (such 
as if it is Pulse or Tone).  Just enter your area code in the box and click OK.

If you have call waiting and want to disable it, put a check in the box and make 
sure it shows *70, in the box. Most cities around Mason City use *70 to disable 
call waiting, but if you know that your phone company uses something else, select it 
from the box, or type it in on your own (with a comma at the end).

Click OK.

It will say Please Wait while it configures the computer.

If there was an e-mail account set up in Outlook Express from a previous Internet 
provider, it will ask you if you want to keep that account. If you closed your 
account with the previous provider, you need to remove the account or it will give 
you an error when it tries to check that e-mail account. Any e-mail you received at 
the old e-mail address will still be there, even after you remove the e-mail account.

After it is finished, it will say "You have now completed the NetConX dialer 
installation".  Click OK.

To connect to the Internet, double-click the NetConX icon on your Desktop (the main 
screen with all the icons).  This will connect you to us and bring up our home page.
